MicroRider-G
Microstructure Sensor Module
The MicroRider-G is a sensor package designed to be integrated into the nose of autonomous vehicles such as gliders and AUVs – providing for persistent direct measurements of micro-scale turbulence from remotely operated assets.
The MicroRider-G has been successfully integrated on the following platforms on the SeaExplorer glider and the WireWalker
Features:
- Internal Data Recording
- In Situ Data Processing (ISDP)
- 1000 m pressure rating (6000 m option available)
- Up to four turbulence sensors:
- 2x SPM-6000 microstructure turbulence shear probes
- 2x FP07-1000 microstructure fast thermistors
- Additional sensors included:
- 1x High resolution pressure sensor
- 2x high-accuracy accelerometers
- 1x tilt sensor
